When your friend or family has you or your family over, you can thank the host to show your appreciation.
The examples below are sample messages you could put into a thank-you note, email, or text message.
Several years ago, when I was new at a church, a nice couple had me over to their house for dinner. And then we played some games. It was an easy way to get to know them, and I appreciated being invited over. Afterward, I mailed them a handwritten thank-you note.

How To Say Thank You For Having Us Over
When thanking someone for having you over, the best messages include specific details. The more personal you can make it, the better.
Along with your thanks, you can include a compliment of the host, any food, something fun you did together, etc.
Remember that a short thank you is better than not saying thank you. The goal is to express gratitude.
Here are some short thank you messages, which you could use standalone or as part of a longer message. Please feel free to change us to me and vice versa as needed.
