The best way to say thank you for a Christmas card is to let them know you received it.

How to Say Thank You for the Christmas Card
The goal of saying thank you for the Christmas Card is to acknowledge that you received it and show appreciation to them for thinking of you.
Instead of writing and mailing a handwritten thank you card in return, you can:
- Thank them in person the next time you see them.
- Send them a thank you text message.
- Mention during a phone call.
- If you are mailing them a Christmas card (after you receive their card), you can include a short “thank you for the Christmas card” message in your card to them.
You can also mention any photos or letters included with the card. And sometimes people only send a holiday photo card of their family, and not an actual traditional Christmas card.
You also don’t need to write a thank you note card in response to a year-end holiday letter to which the person sent everyone they sent Christmas cards. Of course, if there is something you want to follow up on, you can write them a note!
