43 Pet Loss Quotes and Messages for Sympathy and Condolences

The loss of a pet can be tough and heartbreaking. I’ve been a cat lady for more than twenty years and have experienced the loss of several cats.

When a friend or family member loses a pet, expressing condolences for the loss is kind.

If the person announces the pet’s death on social media, you can write a sympathy message for the loss of the pet on their post. You can also send them a text or mail them a sympathy card.

Actual Pet Loss Messages

Below are actual messages I received on social media when my cats passed away. So far, I’ve lost four cats, not including  Remember that the person is grieving, so they may not acknowledge messages.

For your message to feel personal, you can mention the pet’s name, the person’s name, or the type of pet. In addition, you can customize the message for a cat, dog, or other pet. You can also include sad emojis in a text or social media post.

I replaced my name in the messages with Name and my cat’s name with Pet Name. So, please update them if you decide to use one of these condolences quotes.
