Kicking Off The 31 days of Writing Challenge

Day 1 – the Kick Off

It’s day 1 of the 31 day writing challenge. I admit that I’m not are prepared as I should be. I learned of the challenge just a few days ago in a Facebook group.

I debated for while with myself about it. Do I really have time to write EVERY day? We make time for things that are important to us. I’ve said this blog is important to me, but I’ve struggled to write a post each week. I’m hoping this challenge will help me develop better writing habits.

I’m writing this kick of post at 10:30 PM in my time zone. That is cutting it close! Since it’s late I’ll share a few things I am thankful for tonight.

31 Days Tons of Thanks

Kick off thank you list

    • I am thankful for the support of my husband, Ted. Participating in this challenge will mean spending a little less time with him.

    • I am thankful that my mom taught me the value of writing thank-you notes! (if you do not know how to write one, check out this post with the 5 steps outlined).

  • I am thankful for the way the Internet has made connecting with others possible.

If you are interested in seeing what others are doing for the writing challenge go to  I believe over a thousand people participated about in the challenge last year.

This page will list each of my posts during the 31 days.
